The Difference Between CNC Press Brake & Nc Press Brake

CNC press brake for sale

There are times when a person may confuse NC press brake and CNC press brake when looking to buy press brake. There are many distinctions between the two machines. We will be sharing some important tips to distinguish CNC press brake and NC press brake. Hope this will provide you some assistance when you begin your business. The actual name is torsion-bar press brake "NC Press brake" as well as the Electro-hydraulic type of press brake "CNC Press brake".

Difference

Structure

The principle of design for both machines is different, it results in the distinct synchronous structures on the two sides of the ram. NC press brake adopts torsion shafts to connect two sides of the ram. This is to cause the ram to move up and down in a synchronized manner, in this way, NC press brake utilizes the mechanically synchronous compulsive method which means that the ram's parallelism cannot be check and adjust by itself. In the case of CNC Press brake there are two linear encoders mounted on the machine on both sides. The CNC controller will be able to assess the synchronous condition on both sides of the ram through the feedback from the two linear encoders. To ensure the synchronization, the controller can adjust the proportional valve if there an error. The closed loop control system includes the CNC controller, hydraulic system, and linear encodes.

Accuracy

The precision of the workpiece is affected by ram parallelism. The NC Press brake synchronization works mechanically. It does not have real-time feedback and cannot adjust itself. This will result in a low bending precision. On NC press brakes the two cylinders are required to move up and down at a synchronized rate by the torsion-bar. If the partial load is present for long time, it will cause the deformation for the torsion-bar. For CNC press brake the controller controls the time synchronization of the ram with both proportional valve and the linear encoder will transmit feedback on any error back to the controller. in the event of an error, the linear encoder sends the feedback and the controller will relay the feedback to the proportional to adjust the ram and ensure that the ram remains synchronized and increase the accuracy of bending.

Speed of work

For the press brake we always talk about three speeds: down speed working speed, working speed and return speed. It will use 6:1 or 8.1 Cylinders to operate the NC Press brake. For CNC Press brake it will use 13 or 15:1 Cylinder. CNC Press brake will work faster than NC Press brake. When NC press brake ram comes down, its speed is about 80mm/s. the backgauge moving speed is approximately 100mm/s. However, for CNC Press brake, its ram down speed will be up to 200mm/s, and it will be very fluid during the speed change point. The backgauge speed can go up to 400 millimeters per second, which can boost the efficiency of work.

Mechanic rigidity

The NC press brake is engineered to withstand loads that are only partial. If it is working such a way for a long period of time, the torsion-bar can expand easily. This won't occur on CNC hydraulic press brake, as both the Y1 Axes as well as the Y2 Axes are able to operate independently.

Crowning system

For the vast majority of NC press brake products, it is not equipped with a crowning system in the standard version. The operator needs to adjust the angle of bending manually prior to making the bend on the official product. It will be laborious and will waste materials. Also, it will be difficult to make the product with high-precision.

Sometimes , the customer can decide to include a manual crowning device as an optional part of his press brake. However, because of the manual operation system, it isn't possible to compare it with the press brake that is CNC. The CNC press brake is equipped with the crowning system that is controlled by the controller. It can adjust the crowning system according to the bend parameters. It can improve the working effectiveness and precision.
